Journal-01
The last post got me thinking how easy it is to just take a link, re-post it and spread it all over. There is another level of linking that happens for me, and that is when something makes it into my journal.

For the past few years I have printed off images, clipped odds and ends and taped them in journals. I loose bookmarks, sites go down and they change. The things in my journal tend to stay with me longer. I may not always remember the site or the source, but I can usually identify the visual period that I was going through (found objects, typographic puns, vector illustrations). Patterns and connections start to build when I look back.

Things that get taped in are usually the things that influence me, where as things that I see and would normally link or bookmark don’t always have as lasting impression.

So with that in mind, I thought I would try to link to things that have made it into my journals.

First images are from the same artist as yesterday, Steve Powers, new link from his Coney Island work.

The small LED clocks with the individual digits are from Jonas Damon Design.

Both got some ideas cooking for a number project. Started on it last night, hope to have some images up soon.
